The Service Children Awards Cymru is brought to you in partnership with Veterans Awards CIC and SSCE Cymru, with support from the Armed Forces in Wales.
In Wales we have a number of Service children that are doing great things within society and have gone above and beyond to excel in their relevant fields. We want to celebrate the Service children who even during the most difficult periods have excelled!
We hope that the Service children who get shortlisted at our awards can tell their story and act as role models for Service children across the UK and we make a series of short videos from our shortlisted finalists giving tips and advice to help other Service children!
Further information available here. The next Service Children Awards Cymru will be in 2025. More information to follow.
On Saturday 28th October 2023, we celebrated the first ever Service Children Awards Cymru. Brought to you by the Veterans Awards CIC, in partnership with SSCE Cymru, sponsored by Powys Council, General Dynamics, YourNorth and Forces Fitness.
The awards ceremony was held at the Infantry Battle School, Brecon, supported by the Army and RAF engagement teams and included music performed by the fantastic band of the Prince of Wales!
Congratulations to all the finalists. We really enjoyed celebrating with you all!!!!
The charity partner for this years Service childrens awards Cymru was the fantastic Little Troopers.
At the event, we also took the opportunity to celebrate the achievement of the schools in Wales who have achieved their Gold Armed Forces Friendly School Cymru status.
See all the photos from the event in the gallery at the bottom of the page.
Many thanks to Little Troopers, the RAF Family Federation and Naval Family Federation for providing some goodies to go in the gift bags that were given to all 30+ children and young people who attended the event.
