The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces, and their families are treated fairly.

The Covenant Legal Duty toolkit also includes a range of resources such as FAQs, statutory guidance and guides for organisations and the Armed Forces.
The Covenant Duty came into effect on 22nd November 2022.
The Armed Forces Covenant Duty is a legal obligation on certain public bodies to pay due regard to the Covenant principles when exercising certain functions.
Public bodies that fall within the scope of the Duty include local authorities and the state-funded schools within them.

A programme of e-learning training modules has been designed by Warwickshire County Council to raise awareness of the Armed Forces community and the Armed Forces Covenant.
Armed Forces Covenant Liaison Officers (AFLOs)
The Armed Forces Liaison Officers help implement the commitments made in the covenant – providing support to our Armed Forces community, including serving Regulars, Reserves, veterans and their families.
