The first of this year’s SSCE Cymru Armed Forces Festivals took place on 15th October 2025 at the Army Reserve Centre in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. The event welcomed Service children and young people from across West Wales for a day of connection, creativity, and celebration.
SSCE Cymru was joined by the 157 Regt RLC Engagement Team, Forces Fitness, Never Such Innocence, World War Wales, and the VC Gallery to deliver a series of inspiring workshops. 97 Pupils from ten schools across three Local Authorities took part in a range of engaging activities, including team-building challenges, relay races, song writing, and crafts with a Remembrance theme.
It was a fun-filled day and a fantastic opportunity for military-connected children to come together, share their experiences, and build new friendships.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the organisations who generously gave their time to deliver such meaningful sessions. A special thank you goes to the staff at the Army Reserve Centre for hosting us at a venue the children thoroughly enjoyed, complete with plenty of great photo opportunities!
We’re also incredibly grateful to the school staff who supported and supervised the children on the day, your involvement made this event possible.
It was a truly memorable experience, and we’re excited to bring the same energy to our next festival in South Wales on 12th November!
