The SSCE Cymru had a really interesting and informative day at the SCiP (Service Children's Progression) Alliance annual conference in Birmingham, which this year had a theme of 'Identify matters'.
The conference included a keynote speech from the Minister for Defence People, Veterans and Service Families, workshops, conversations with Service children and young people, a panel Q&A and networking opportunities.
We were also pleased to have a stand at the conference, providing an opportunity for us to raise awareness of SSCE Cymru - our new Armed Forces terminology match up game and prize winning spinning wheel were a great hit!
Millie (SSCE Cymru Programme Manager) also benefited from the opportunity to attend the SCiP Alliance Hub Leads meeting and SCiP Alliance Management Group meeting in person either side of the conference day. SSCE Cymru has been a member of these groups for a number of years, ensuring Wales is represented and in a position to share good practice and be part of the UK wide network for Service children.
