The second of SSCE Cymru’s Armed Forces Festivals took place on 8th November 2023 at Raglan Barracks for Service children across East Wales.
SSCE Cymru were joined by Forces Fitness, Never Such Innocence and YourNorth for our Forces Festival to deliver some great workshops to Service children from different local authorities across East Wales. From team building challenges, relay races, song writing and mindfulness activities to poppy wreath making and learning about Remembrance, it was a fun filled day and a great opportunity to bring Service children together and learn more about their individual experiences.
We thank all organisations involved for giving up their time and delivering some great workshops to the children, and an extra thanks to Raglan Barracks for allowing us to host this fabulous event at their base, a venue that the children thoroughly enjoyed being at, providing plenty of great photo opportunities!
Thank you to the school staff who attended and supervised the children, the day wouldn’t have been able to happen without your support also!
It was an extremely enjoyable day, and one that we hope we can host again in the future!
