Rebecca (Becca) is a qualified Secondary School Teacher and SENCo having completed a PGCE, Masters in Education and the National SENCo Award. Through her previous work as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Coordinator, Becca has ample experience supporting children, specifically those with additional needs, in schools setting up and running a vast range of interventions all with the aim of improving outcomes for young people. As an education professional Becca is passionate, committed, proactive and strongly promotes inclusion, quality first teaching and early intervention.
Becca has also recently worked as a Lead Practitioner on Additional Needs across numerous schools. This role has allowed her to work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple educational settings to develop and support continuous improvements, share best practice, and introduce and implement new initiatives. Through this work, she has provided professional guidance to staff to enhance the quality of inclusive teaching and learning.
As a wife of a member of the Armed Forces and mother of a Service child, Becca has first-hand experience of the Armed Forces lifestyle. She has recently moved to Wales and is negotiating the challenges a posting can present for Armed Forces families. Becca is passionate about working with Service Children and is keen to assist in the development of a positive culture and awareness of the challenges as well as the positive experiences they have.
In her spare time, Becca enjoys spending time with her family, walking, running and visiting historical sites.
