Cara Lloyd-Roberts

School Liaison Officer (SLO)

Cara Lloyd-Roberts

Cara is a qualified primary school teacher, having obtained a degree in Education Studies and Special and Inclusive Needs, followed by completing a PGCE Primary course. She has extensive experience supporting school children, both academically and with their emotional wellbeing. Cara is bilingual and is passionate about ensuring children are supported in their language of choice.

Cara recently worked on the TRAC 11-24 project with young people who were disengaging from education and at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment, or training). As a teacher, Cara was passionate about supporting these young people to re-engage with learning through delivering workshops, group interventions and 1:1 sessions. Cara would listen to the personal experiences and needs of the young people, and co-ordinate support around this. Cara believes strongly in adopting a child-centred approach and ensuring that all children are given equal opportunities and support.

Cara has also worked within a children’s learning disability team, where she supported families by sharing information and communicating with other services to best meet children's needs. She is passionate about removing barriers in education and ensuring all children are given the tools to succeed!
