SCiP Alliance Annual Conference 2024: Inspiring Impact

SCiP Alliance Annual Conference 2024: Inspiring Impact

Tachwedd 2024

The SCiP Alliance annual conference 2024: Inspiring Impact was hosted in Wales, which is the first time that it has been held outside England. The event brought together 100 delegates, many of whom were first-time attendees, including teaching staff from some of the schools that have achieved their Armed Forces Friendly Schools Cymru status. It was wonderful to see so many of you there. The day focussed on the SCiP Alliance's vision to inspire impactful work that supports thriving lives for Service children.

The SSCE Cymru team were also delighted to be joined by a few of our Service children ambassadors, who embraced the opportunity to share their personal stories, adding a significant contribution which encouraged deeper understanding and further discussion. They were amazing and certainly made a difference.

Diolch yn fawr iawn/Thank you very much to Riley, Joe, Kiean, Ewan and Tom. We hope you enjoyed the experience and that you feel pleased with how you represented Service children/young people from across Wales. It took a lot of courage to stand up and speak. We are sure your families and schools must feel proud of your positive involvement and participation to inspire impact at a national event.

The SSCE Cymru programme does not work without collaboration with schools and local authorities, we are appreciative of your time and value our alliance to provide a network of support for Service children/young people. With this in mind, the SSCE Cymru team would also like to say Diolch/Thank you to the Service Children School Champions from Pencoed Comprehensive School, Pencoed Primary School, Haverfordwest High VC School, Prendergast Community School, Baglan Primary School, St Athan Primary School, Llantwit Major High School, Llwynypia Primary School, Ysgol Golwg Pen Y Fan and Brecon High School for joining us on the day. We hope you enjoyed the occasion, and we look forward to working with you on any future projects that will continue to build on the wonderful support that you already offer to any Service children/young people in your educational settings.
