Mount Street Juniors celebrate achieving their Armed Forces Friendly Schools (AFFS) Cymru Bronze Status

June 2022

In June 2022, Mount Street Juniors School in Brecon, Powys celebrated being the first school in Wales to achieve the Armed Forces Friendly Schools (AFFS) Cymru Bronze Status!

The school held a celebratory event with attendees from Powys County Council including the Deputy Leader and Armed Forces Champion Cllr Matthew Dorrance, the Former Military Commander for Wales, Brigadier Andrew Dawes CBE and the Minister for Education and Welsh Language, Jeremy Miles MS. This award was given to acknowledge all of the fantastic work that they do to support their Service children and families. Congratulations to all the wonderful staff and pupils.
