The Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) uses personal information to enable us to carry out services to support service children in education. The aim of this service is to provide the best possible educational support to children, by ensuring education professionals understand the issues Service children in Wales may face. The project is a Welsh Local Government Association project initially funded by the MOD Education Support Fund and funded by Welsh Government.

The UK’s third generation of data protection law replaces the Data Protection Act 1998. The Data Protection Act 2018 accepts the standards and obligations set by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, where GDPR allows, makes specific provisions relevant to the UK.
We will use personal information provided only for purposes consistent with the reason it was provided to WLGA. All information is retained in line with WLGA’s Data retention policies.
